Maulud Nabi 1432H

Wednesday 16th February 2011

The BruHullians gathered at 48 Goddard Street to commemorate Maulud Nabi.

The event began in the evening with everyone performing Maghrib prayers.

Following that, we started by the reciting of the Yasin and Tahlil -- lead by our religious officer Hazwan 'Wan' Awang.

Following the Yasin and Tahlil, we all moved on to recite Dzikir.

We began with reciting the Dzikir 'Assalamualaika', with the guys and girls alternating each line. Following that, we altogether recited 'Bisharin' and finished up with 'Marhaban' as well as reciting 'Selawat'.

After Dzikir we then proceeded to perform Isha prayers before finally enjoying the feast -- a pot luck dinner with contributions by everyone, with food ranging from curry chicken to a unique twist to lasagna.

It.

Was.

Awesome.

Special thanks to the tenants of 48 Goddard Street Zureen and Rosni for allowing us to hold this event at their house and of course a big thank you to everyone who attended!
